Truth and Treaty
Little Rocket helps our clients and partners tell their story, their way. But we must acknowledge that our country’s story has not yet been fully or truthfully told.

Australia is one of few colonial nations without a Treaty in place with First Nations people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been calling for Truth and Treaty for generations. Without truth-telling processes and formal Treaties in place, we can’t reconcile the historic and ongoing harm imposed on First Nations people in Australia.
Little Rocket supports truth-telling and Treaty on both the national and state level. Truth-telling acknowledges the deep injustice and hurt faced by First Nations people. It’s about listening, learning and creating space for voices that have been wrongfully ignored. In Victoria, the Yoorrook Justice Commission is leading this vital work.
“Treaty is about recognition, respect and building a new relationship between governments and Traditional Owners.”

Treaty is about recognition, respect and building a new relationship between governments and Traditional Owners. This relationship would be based on truth, equity, self-determination and accountability. The First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria is leading the state towards its first Treaty process.
At Little Rocket, we’re committed to walking alongside the Yoorrook Justice Commission, the First Peoples’ Assembly and the wider country on this journey. That means acknowledging the Country we live and work on, supporting First Nations creatives and businesses, and being part of a movement towards genuine reconciliation.
All of our work is driven by our core values of Country, Community and Culture – ensuring we leave lasting positive impacts on these three pillars. We see Truth and Treaty not as political issues, but as human ones. They reflect our belief in creative storytelling rooted in integrity.
We hope our work together will honour the past, while telling a fuller story of who we are and the future we want to create.
